A Virtual Tour of Lotte World – South Korea Amusement Park

If you ever find yourself in Korea, you cannot help but hear about Lotte World. While South Korea has an amazing venue of sights and attractions, Lotte World is perhaps the proverbial Disney of the East and a sight that is worth visiting even for the lone adult but if you have a family vacation in Korea, this is going to be an absolute muse see for you and your family. No Korean vacation is complete without a trip to Lotte World and the attractions are only part of the reason why.

While it is true that Lotte World is an amusement park, to try to limit the attractions and sights at Lotte World to their theme park alone would be like trying to limit the description music to a single song. Lotte World is much more than a theme park. In fact, there is both an indoor Amusement Park and an outside theme park. It has a rich variety of displays for the Cultural and Historic presence of Korea and the Korean people including their time as an Empire. There are numerous hotels, malls, theaters and in short, everything that you could ever need or want whether in a place to live or as a simple vacation destination. There is truly something for the entire family here and not just because it has cool rides and neat characters running around.

The Indoor Amusement Park at Lotte World is one of the largest indoor attractions in the world and receives somewhere in the neighborhood of eight to ten million visitors in an average year. These people are coming here from all over the world and the cultural diversity is reflected here in many ways. Still, they do not forsake their own nation either and as such, you can find many of the traditional Korean offerings as well. It does not matter what type of food you are craving, what type of entertainment you are looking for or whether you are enjoying a single’s night out or a family friendly night on the town, there is always something for you to do in and around Lotte World.

The Folk Museum houses an impressive array of historical, traditional and modern Korean Culture and again, is set up so that the average business traveler can get as much out of a trip here as the family on a fun-filled vacation can. There are performance halls where you can enjoy traditional Korean dance and music and movie theaters where you can go to catch the latest flick from the States or Bollywood. One of the highlights here is the scaled village that is complete in every detail. Created one-eighth scale. You can also view all sorts of information about the (infamous) Japanese invasion of Korea in the late sixteenth century as well.

With its traditional wares and displays, its modern malls and theaters, the amusement park, sports complex and even the theme park itself, to say that Lotte World is anything less than spectacular would never do it justice. If you find yourself in South Korea alone or with your family, find some time to visit Lotte World and you will not be disappointed.
