Most Remote Hotels in the World

When it comes to vacation planning, some people just want to get away from it all. When these hotels were built, that was exactly what and who they had in mind … quite literally. Welcome to a short list of some of the most remote hotels in the entire world.

Your vacation journey to some of the most remote locations on earth begins with a trip to Longitude 131 in the Australian Outback for an environmentally friendly vacation experience in one of the few sites in the world that has been declared to be a World Heritage Site in two distinct categories. While you may hear about staying in “tents”, do not let that fool you. The accommodations here are literally five stars. With spots for only fifteen of their “tents”, the view is about as unimpeded and beautiful as you will ever find in this world.

Your next isolated vacation destination will find you in the Grenadines on the Island of Petit St Vincent. The Petit St Vincent Resort will not bother you with telephones or even televisions. It is strictly built to allow you to get away from it all. While they do not provide all of the preferred methods of communications for today’s hustle and bustle crowds, they do offer you ample opportunities to enjoy the isolation of the island as well as many of the local flavors. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained but very few chances of you ever getting interrupted while doing so.

If you have ever used the Windows Operating System and seen the “Azul” desktop background and marveled at the beauty of the beaches and the water there, marvel no more … at least not on your computer monitor. The Maldives off the Coast of India will bring that beauty to life and leave you wondering why you never visited before. The Pristine waters are only the beginning of your paradise adventure vacation here in the Maldives. The Beach Houses at Manafaru Maldives each come with a private swimming pool, amazing cuisine prepared by some of the best chefs in the world, complete privacy and even a personal butler should you not dismiss them early to enjoy your respite from the real world. While it may be isolated, it is difficult to imagine that life ever gets any better than this.

The last stop on your quest for the most isolated hotels in the world will find you in South America, high in the Peruvian mountains. The Andean Cottage Hotel is located well over 12000 feet (over 4000 meters still) in the Andes Mountains. It is accessible only by a rather hazardous drive or via a three and one-half hour ride in a speedboat to get across the lake. We would recommend the speedboat. Once you arrive, you will be treated to five star luxury in every sense of the word. Be certain to take any amenities with you as you will not find any convenience stores in the local region. However, in case you get lost in the luxurious and large suites or you do need something that is readily available in the area, your private butler will be able to arrange it for you.
